Wake on lan doesnt work

so i connected my ethernet nic to the wol intergration with the macadress and it worked fine but when i shutdown my pc it doesnt allow me to turn it back on i think its because my nic shuts down on shutdown but ive tried everything but nothing works

the lights arent on when the pc shuts down so i think thats the problem that the nic isnt working

but i cant figure it out at all ive tried everything but most stuff say to do the same thing over and over again

Normally WoL will wake a PC from suspend or hibernate, but it won't boot it if it was shut down fully.

have you looked in your systems BIOS? WOL may need to be enabled

i checked and the setting called resume from pci or pcie device is on

which is the only one that i think is for wol

and also acpi function is on

could check the motherboard manual and see if anything is mentioned. just in case its hiding somewhere.

as it seems resume by pci - pcie isnt wol if i am understanding this manual correcly

so update

if ive done everything correcly with wireshark

i should be able to see wol packets

not packets are received

ok idk if its something important or i am just tweaking but when i press the wol button on ha wireshark is able to pick up a packet comming from 192.168.1.29 which is the static ip of ha

but it just says discard protocol
