#Actionable Notification popup + intrusive?

Trying to make a notification for my son, to verify he is awake after his alarm goes off. It needs to be huge and intrusive, like the pictures of the IOS notification in the guide: Notification I want
I haven't been able to recreate this on the android companion app - the best I can get is a collapsed notification at the top of the screen showing no buttons - you have to hit the down-arrow on the notification to even show the action buttons.

Am I missing something, or is this not possible on Android?

you can do things like use the alarm sensor to determine when the alarm went off and see if the lights came on or the door open maybe?

I've currently set up the "alarm" in HA to flash the lights in the bedroom until the wall switch across the room is pressed, or for 15 minutes. After 10 mins, an alarm is set on my wife's phone for 5 mins.

I don't have a sensor on the front door, and he doesn't watch TV before it's time to leave.
Now that I think about it, I can possibly use the interactive sensor after the alarm up until the parent_alarm timer goes off
