I recently set up Music Assistant, and then stumbled across the Git Repo DJS91/HAMusicAssistantJukebox.

There was some learning curve (as there should be), but I was able to get the Queue working to select songs from Spotify and confirmed that when the queue is empty the default playlist will play.
The big advantage is I was able to repurpose two Pi 3B+ as PiCorePlayers for two zones.
