I created on open-source add-on to manage Energy at home : https://github.com/abriotde/openhems-sample
Concretely, the solution allows you to automatically activate electricity-consuming devices at the best time (based on solar panel production, if available, or off-peak hours). It's more simple and powerfull than Node-Red because it is dedicated to Energy
To install it, add https://github.com/abriotde/openhems-addon repo.
