#Creating a wyoming satellite for travel, independent of local network. Possible?

I'm attempting to set up a Wyoming satellite that will go through Home Assistant Cloud using a long-lived token to use as a travel device, taking with me when I'm not home. At the moment, the satellite seems to be working, with events sending to HA, but auto-discovery isn't working, and I'm getting WARNING - Unable to find a device matching this satellite.

First question: Should this be possible?
Second: How should I either manually register the satellite with the HA Wyoming integration (What should host be?), or how could I get Wyoming to recognize the connection via zeroconf/auto-discovery?

@median barn Any thoughts?

I'm currently trying @toxic wraith's wyoming-satellite-termux install on a TSV running LineageOS 15.1.

For probably un-related context, I'm using this satellite as a ViewAssist device, running @left lark's Remote Assist Display..

Is it something Wireguard or Tailscale could solve maybe?

I'm hoping to avoid adding a VPN, given Nabu Casa's Home Assistant Cloud. That would likely work, but I'm really looking for a native solution. Worst case, I'll go that route, but would really prefer not to.

it won't work without a VPN - the event forwarder I've got will push over basically anything because that uses the HA HTTP API (and is therefore separate), but you can't test that without Home Assistant making a connection to Wyoming first
