As the title suggests, this is a pet peeve I've had with every single voice assistant to date. I kind of assumed the Home Assistant Voice would be far more configurable than it is. Is there no way for me disable the voice responses after receiving a command? Why does every VA on the market force you to listen to a response? Ideally, I'd like to issue a command and be done with it. No confirmation, no beep, no "turned off x". etc.

HAPE are very early, time will tell what you will be able to do them as configuration. In the ESP32 app section in HA, the options are very limited and must use wakeword to initaite commands. Have you thought about looking into wyoming satellite setup using rasberry pi boards? I have 2 of them and have them setup exactly to what you are looking for.

The setup you're describing is likely outside of my technical know-how for the moment. I could invest the time to figure things out and experiment but I just don't have the time presently :/
