#Bluetooth - Enable experimental tag

Hello,
I have an old Trust Bluetooth usb stick that I'm trying to connect to my new Home Assistant Green. Unfortunatly I get this error:
"passive scanning on Linux requires BlueZ >= 5.56 with --experimental enabled and Linux kernel >= 5.10; Try power cycling the Bluetooth hardware.".

I looked on Discord and found an old message (2023) in the "bluetooth-archived" (#bluetooth-archived message ) that confirmed the need to add "--experimental" tag in the bluetooth service file. Trying to do that i get the error “‘bluetooth.service’ is read only”.

Is anyone in the same situation? Do you have any tip on how to edit that file?

Thanks,
Gianluca

Your find in the archived channel goes on to mention that OP is not using HA OS but their own OS with docker, and then ends with a recommendation to use something from the list of approved adapters, which I would agree with. https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/bluetooth/#known-working-high-performance-adapters

There's more info on that same page describing what might happen with some adapters, and a list of unsupported adapters, but Trust does not appear in either of those which makes me think it might be "too old"?

BT Proxies, also mentioned there, are a great way to use BT with HA as they allow you to cover your home nicely.
