#Ikea Styrbar E2313: editing blueprint for Styrbar E2001/E2002 to work

Hello all,

Im a relative newcomer to HA, but loving it. Running the newb setup with a HA green, working to automate my lighting.

To do that, i got myself some Ikea stuff, including Styrbar 4 button switches. But: Ikea recently release a new styrbar switch, E2313 instead of E2001/E2002.

This seems to have happened recently, because i cannot find any blueprint for it, or any documentation of other people running into this problem.

I have found blueprints for the E2001/E2002 which should work, but those need some editing.

However, i just cant figure out how to do it! All the blueprints are direct downloads into HA and i cannot figure out how to edit them there.

My questions are:

  • Does anyone have a blueprint for a styrbar E2313 switch?
  • OR: how can i edit blueprints?

after its importanted and you select it you can "take control" from the top right 3 dot menu

i did try that, but it wont let me when its just a blueprint. It also does not let me save it into a automatisation without choosing inputs

and im sure the styrbar button is already found by HA, so that is not the problem

can you manually put the entity into the box?
force it to use it for creation then fix it after when you have control?

could look at the automation code and recreate it i guess. during the import process you see the github link

can read and see how it works to give ideas on building your own automation that works how you want with the new device

thanks! i found a blueprint that does seem to work, and with some tinkering i can get it to turn on and off stuff

Its good enough for now, untill i figure out how to do more myself

Or someone else makes an improved blueprint haha

Yes, it has to be a working blueprint with a valid set of inputs to take control.

It's an automation or a script that has the extra variable !inputs. Otherwise all the same rules apply.
