As per the title I can see my cctv cameras on my dashboard in iOS app but when I view the dashboard using the macOS app there is an error.
Anyone familiar with this problem or know where I should start troubleshooting?

Unfortunately the mac app does not support WebRTC, which is the technology that makes the video streams work properly on web, it's pending on Apple to bring that to "Mac catalyst" apps. Perhaps too technical but the long story short is, it wont work on mac app.

Ah I see - not too technical at all I understand. Thanks for the response - wondered if it was a bug or some sort of issue with my router blocking traffic or something.

So as I understand it Apple need to change so webrtc ports over from iOS via the catalyst system OR home assistant have to create a new version of their app written from the ground up for macOS?
Do we know if it is likely Apple will support this in catalyst in the future?

I have a different kind of issue with WebRTC which seems somewhat related. So WebRTC works on the iOS app, but only when I'm connected locally. As soon as I try to connect externally (i.e. via 5G), I only see a black screen. I'm 100% sure this worked in the past, has something changed in the iOS versions or the app recently? I'm struggling with this since like 2 or 3 months

Try to use it through iOS Safari, if in there it also doesn’t work then please reach out to the frontend team
