#ChatGPT Unexpected error during intent recognition after update to HA 2025.4

I just updated to 2025.4.2 from 2025.3 and I am using chatGPT api integration for my voice assistant. I was using it just before updating. I also reverted the update from a backup and it worked again, until I updated again and it stopped working.

When I try to ask the assistant something, it always returns the message Unexpected error during intent recognition.
Why is this suddenly happening?

If I just use the local build in assistant, it works fine but is extremely limited. I have the voice PE which I use extensively so I need this to work.

pic shows built in assistant first then asking a question that needs llm but error occurs.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

I got this log openai.APIError: Project does not have access to model gpt-4o-mini-2024-07-18 so I have enabled that model in my openai dashboard for the project but it still does not work. It does not work even in the openai playground which shows the same error... Even though the specific model appears there for use.

I started experiencing the same issue after updating from 2025.7 to 2025.8. I can't even type into the conversation agent to do anything.

Have you managed to solve the problem since then? I have a similar problem. Everything on my system is up to date. You don't even need to use the VA, just ask from the browser, and the error still occurs.
