Hi, I'm relatively new to the Zigbee experience. I use the ZHA with Tasmota on a Sonoff Bridge. This also works relatively well. I have about 15 window contacts in use.

Unfortunately, the reception in the garage is very poor, and there is no connection to the device that is shown in the visualisation. This device occasionally has faults.

Now I've got myself a Nous socket with Zigbee and thought it could repeat the signal. Do I need to activate anything else for this to work or where is my mistake?

you only need to pair it to your ZHA and you're good to go pretty much. That said, Zigbee meshes take time to adjust. You can potentially force the adjustment by re-pairing devices (i.e. the window sensors) where you want to use them, but that doesn't always work for me. Easiest trick is to just wait. I found that the zigbee mesh will have basically "re-planned" itself entirely after 24 hours, so when you pair the socket, get everything in the place you want it to be and wait 24 hours, you should notice an improvement

you may also want to check that the socket actually acts as a router device. It usually should do so, since it's connected to mains power. It's under "Zigbee Info" in the "Device Info" section when you open up the device on HA
