I am in the process of migrating my Insteon home from ISY994i to Home Assistant and am running into a lot of unexpected difficulties. I believe the source of my trouble may be self inflicted as I intended to slowly transition from ISY to HA (i.e. have both running simultaneously for a period of time). As such, I purchased a new USB PLM for home assistant and did not migrate my current (serial) PLM with an adapter. In my reading (ref. Matt Gerega's migration) the PLM (along with its ALDB) was moved from ISY to HA.
Could anyone weigh in if there is a method for 'easily' integrating a new PLM with the existing PLM's ALDB, if migration of the PLM is required (for a seamless transition), or just general insight? HA n00b

Wow, three months without a response? Yeh, I just got here after having all kinds of issues getting moved over to a HUB 2 from a USB PLM that was rock solid on HomeSeer.
In doing so, I spoke at length to insteon support about how mulitple controllers can be an issue. Your best bet is to just bite the bullet and reregister everything on your new controller.
I was on Homeseer with Mark Sandler's integration/plugin and though HA may be good at many things, Insteon utilities for swapping controllers and enrolling new devices is not one of them. Have you resolved this issue after all this time and if so, what did you do?
