what exactly do you mean by "esphome assistant"? do you mean "home assistant"? or "esphome"?
i am assuming you mean home assistant:
what type of install do you have?
is this a fresh install or did something die?
have you tried connecting by ip?
are you connecting on port 8123?
home assistant, yes Im using the right port.
what type of install is it?
have you tried connecting by ip instead of the mdns name?
install it on addons? sorry I dont really know what to answer. How to connect by ip?
home assistant and esphome are different things.
although yes you can install esphome device builder as an addon on home assistant
what are you trying to do?
what have you done so far?
what has worked? and not worked?
Ahh that's why, i thought the esphome can be download at chrome addonn. How can i access or install home assistant? been searching video about it but can't find a tutorial how to start.
installation documentation is here the best way to install home assistant in a way that supports addons is with home assistant OS. which either needs dedicated hardware or a virtual machine
what is your actual goal here? what is your current projects objective?
Main goal controlling a speed of a fan also outdoor light motion sensor switches and a automatic plant watering.
Here's what i got on android
have you installed the home assistant server on something?
No, I only installed it on my phone
the app is a companion app. its a client which connects to your server...which you dont yet have
home assistant is a central smart home platform that you run as a server. this then connects to your smart devices. including those running esphome.
you can then access your server by webui and the companion apps
the home assistant addon is probably the easiest way to deal with esphome firmware config. most esphome guides are going to asssume you are running home assistant already
now you could technically run esphome builder independently of home assistant in a docker container and use a set up webui on each device to access it but you are in every way better off setting up home assistant and going from there
