Hello,
Just got my voice preview and have it working in its default state. I want to change the voice sound (coming from the device speaker) to a male voice but I'm not quite sure what controlls this. I've changed it in the Piper addon config and also in the HA pipeline configuration. Under "Text-to-speech" I have it set to "piper" and the "Voice" set to "hfc male (medium)" but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm not using HA cloud yet. Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Ahh I think that must be it. I went into the device config and went through "Set up voice assistant" again and it seems to have changed now. So just so I'm clear, is that the right process? Each time I change the voice do I need to go through the device setup process afterwards? Or is there a better way to get it to recognize the change?

just ensure that the assistant setting is set to the right pipeline
you can set up multiple pipelines then just change between them there
