Hey everyone. I have an issue where my computherm RF thermostat's receiver died. It's located right at my boiler in the basement (dry contact). Instead of just replacing the unit, I thought about extending my zigbee mesh, and replacing the receiver with a smart MOES zigbee thermostat.
Then i'd use Better Thermostat with a thermometer located in the main room of the actual living area, and tell it to use that to control the heating.
Then I guess I could just put an old tablet into the main room, and set it to display a card so people can modify the temperature there.
Has anyone else tried this? As far as I know it would work with HA and better thermostat. Maybe there is a simpler solution...

I ended up going with a tuya wifi smart thermostat, as that one has a version that I need with
RF receiver at boiler + thermostat upstairs
I'll try to hook it up with localtuya and hope for the best. I guess this issue is solved.
