HA 8123 locks up but 4357 works fine | Home Assistant | Page 1

I moved my HA vm to my new server and now it boots and then locks up and disconnects after a few min. Anyone have any tips on finding the issue? Ive never used the logs and dont know how yet so go easy on me lol.

What is the hypervisor before and after? (i.e. proxmox to proxmox / proxmox to esxi etc.)

Try ha core logs and ha supervisor logs via the VM's CLI.

when you say "moved". did you just copy the vm file or did you create a home assistant backup then restore it on a fresh install?

vm migration isnt perfect in some cases. using the backup and restore feature is definetly what i would recomend

TrueNAS uses ZVOLs, no?

i did a replication of the zvol

I have also tried to restore from a back up. It was every 60s or so now its every hour or so. I removed a bunch of addons to see if it would help

how much ram does the vm have? it could be a memory issue?
i have also seen this kind of of thing if a automation gets stuck in an infinate loop. could try disabling some automations for a bit to test?

I fed it 16g, Ill try the logs when it locks up next

Fresh install fixed it!

#HA 8123 locks up but 4357 works fine
