hihi, welcome to HA
do you have the sensor and the speaker added to home assistant already?
Omg you again
No I doing even n know how to add a Bluetooth speaker
Okay wait
I think I figured out how to do that
Thank you for breaking it down for me
But let’s say yes, what do I do next?
create a new automation
you set a trigger that triggers on the entity of your sensor changing
then in the actions you find "media player play media" and link it to the speaker and the media file location
im not at home and cant try it rn but
is there a prefered way to do this? and does HA let me do this from the UI
or do i need to download it via the cli somehow...
lemme see if i can google it :hmm
yeah, automations are the core of home assistant
although if you looking to do music stuff then you may want to look into the "music assistant" addon
gives you some extra stuff
automations are the core of tying things together in HA
Can I ask if you were able to get a connection working via a smart speaker or just with a regular Bluetooth speaker? If possible is there any documentation that you used to get it to work?
Fuck I didn’t omg
I’ve been meaning to get to this
Perhaps tonight’s rabbit hole
Can I ask what speaker you are planning on using / are using for your configuration? Thinking of getting the Sonos just to make life easier...
