#Android - High Battery consumption! 🔋

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I have consistently High Battery consumption because of the Homeassistant companion app.
In the app I got two different servers configured and nothing else special comes to mind as oddly configured... Maybe i have something that is?

How do I trouble shoot what is using the battery within the App?

Do I have to have unrestricted usage of background activities?

I'm on a stock Pixel 9 Pro and the latest Android release.
Companion App is the Google Play version.

Thanks, I don't think any of those really "hit" my settings.
I don't really understand this:
Check that none of the Notification Sensors have the allow list disabled in their respective settings. You always want to define an allow list to prevent heavy battery usage.
How do I change / Check those?

Do you have experience having two instances configured at the same time? - Maybe my hunch is wrong that it's something that is causing the added battery drain?
I'll test a couple of days and see if there's a change.

yea have my own and my parents setup....you check the sensors the same place you enable you enable them...settings > companion app > manage sensors

#

check your data usage too, might be related to a camera stream if you have data in addition to battery drain

Hi, for the last month publishing to the Play Store has somehow been stuck, the latest beta version is 2025.3.1, is this a known "issue"?

I am on a Pixel also, and suffer high consumption when I am viewing my cameras on the dashboard, especially if I have the toggle for keeping live video going

data usage us pretty high... 1.15 GB since 3rd April... but nothing super strange as it's some camera streams...
I noticed that I have cameras streams on most of my dashboards....

Seems like this is related to (a bug?) the app drawing heaps more battery if you have the default dashboard with a live camera feed on it.

Anyone else tried to replicate this?

... and this is not described in the link to FAQs above...

Can someone please test so it can be replicated and confirmed?
