My friend gave me an Insteon hub and some misc switches and remotes. Is it worth my effort to figure out how to use this and integrate into HA? I am currently just getting started with HA and have a handful of Shelly and Sonoff devices as well as a Zwave network for leak detection and water main shutoff. TIA

Insteon got a revamp in the last couple of years, including a UI dashboard within HA. It's okay, but still a little fiddly to set up links
I found it to be kinda buggy, and was happy to retire my Insteon setup in favor of what I think are more modern IoT solutions (Zigbee, in my case)
Frankly, I wouldn't start using Insteon now
