I'm trying to add sounds to the HAVPE and I'm not seeing direct instructions. Would the way to do this be to add audio wavs to Home Assistant and then play those before the announcement? I know this seems elementary but I don't have any audio media connected to HA so I can't even run a test without setting this up. I'd like to know that this is the current way of making HAVPE play sounds before an announcement before I go adding the sound infrastructure and connections to make this possible.

Lastly, did I miss a list of sounds/files that can already be accessed/played with HAVPE?

the answer to this question is yes, you need to hook up music assistant, add the players so they have access to the sounds in the library. Send the media content id using play media, wait 2 seconds and send the announcement message using assist satellite announce with the Music Assistant added copies of your HAVPE (with an _2) on the end of the entity id. I have set up multiple custom announcement sounds this way. I don't think there's a way to do this easily without Music Assistant in the mix and I didn't have it until this project.
