first: try increasing its volume on its device page. its a very small speaker
if no easy win:
did it go through the voice assistant onboarding in HA?
what type of home assistant install do you have? and what verssion?
do you have a voice pipeline set up with whisper/piper?
there is no volume bar
oh right it probably doesnt have the voice assistant firmware
atom echo. No it didnt. Latest. Ha cloud
its got the version voice assistant firmware. you will want to upgrade it to the latest
how do i do that
plug it into PC
go here - https://esphome.io/projects/
select voice assistant and the atom echo.
this will allow you to install the latest voice assistant firmware
try a differnt usb cable you might have a power only one.
i also had issues with a usc usbc cable myself but wass fine with a usba usbc cable
ok. I will
its worth deleting it from HA and then when it redetects and ads it should go through the voiice assistant onboarding
awesome, looks like your in business now
do you have multiple vlans/subnets/etc... any fancy network stuff?
fixed it, only issue is that it only wakes up once answers my question and then never wakes up when i say the wake word
in the device settings make sure the wake word location is set to "on device"
ok, but when i did that it did not detect anything
"okay nabu" is the default wake word of microwaveword which is now used to do wake word detection on device
The latest config from Kevin had an issue where it would only work once if you had an internal URL that used SSL (https). It basically crashed and restarted.
