Yea. It's set. Not sure what the hell is going on with it.

Says location can be changed in zone settings? But tz is set cst.

Says You can not change these settings in the UI, as you have config stored in 'configuration.yaml' under the 'homeassistant' key. I don't have a location in that file.

So I'm guessing it's putting me at utc because the configuration.yaml isn't right.

I had to edit it to put other variables in. Didn't think it would break it.

No it is putting it in UTC because that is what the backend uses.

I got home after sunset. It didn't trigger.

Added location to yaml and reloaded. Will see how that works.
