#GoveeLife WiFi Hygrometer Thermometer (H5110)

Hi, @boreal prairie. Were you able to ever get your H5100 devices to work with the H5151? I'm in the same boat, as I've got ten H5100 that are connected via the H5151, and hoping to bring them into Home Assistant.
Yeah, mine have been working great for a while now. I honestly don't know what changed, maybe Govee2MQTT refreshed or something, but they all show up and I can access everything I want. I even added another sensor to that bridge and it came in with no issue
Thanks for the update. I've only seen people mentioning Govee2MQTT for lights and stuff, but no-one mentioning it for hygrometers.
Do you have to have a Bluetooth adapter on whatever is running HA? That's where my confusion is.
I don't think the old laptop I'm running HA on has Bluetooth. I was hoping to just hit the Govee cloud or whatever is used when going through the Govee app, but that seems unlikely.
I do, but there's no way they're connecting to that given the distance from one outdoor sensor and my HA server. I have a Govee BT to Wi-fi bridge they connect to, and that is what's getting pulled into HA.
in HA the entities show under the "Govee Bluetooth" integration
I'm assuming that's the H5151 bridge? I also have that.
yes
Herm... I'm curious how and why mine isn't being found.
They show as MQTT devices as well, via the Govee2Mqtt integration
I have no idea if both are required or if it's just doubled up
I tried the Govee Bluetooth integration, and it had no luck.
I'll check out the MQTT and the Govee2MQTT and see if that gets me anywhere.
Does it do charting or anything like the Govee app does?
maybe they mesh back to my server via the gateway. My HA server is on a mini PC that I am 99% sure has BT available and enabled
Just checked and BT is available on my server and added to HA. No clue if the sensors are going through that though.
I assume you already set them up with the Govee app, right?
Yeah, I've had them in the Govee app for a couple years. Just trying to make more use of my HA that I've had sitting around.
I think they are meshing in through my server's BT adapter
or maybe even connecting directly? I pulled up the visualization and that''s how it has them connected
maybe it has better range than I thought (one sensor is outside, on the opposite side of the house)
I bet that's it. If you can add a BT dongle to your server, try that
Sorry I'm mainly guessing here, I spend enough time figuring out why things don't work in HA, I don't look too closely when they magically start to work.
lol. No worries. I'll order a BT dongle and see if I can use that to get them to show up. Thanks for the help.
Ended up using the following integration, and it works well. https://github.com/disforw/goveelife
