Reolink stuff is pretty good and well supported
No need to flash firmware like in some Xiaomi cameras?
nope, out the box it connects with HA easily and also with frigate without issue
well at least with the one i have, i cant comfirm the entire range obviously
there is a compatbability list on the integration documentation - https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/reolink/
if something isnt there it doesnt mean that it wont work but keeeping to that list would definetly help be sure of compatability
perfect, thanks! Just to be clear - it's only a live stream, no possibility to record input signal and store somewhere in internal memory with simple playback?
in HA you can get stills with camera.snapshot but if you want video stuff you will want to get somewthing like frigate
some of the cameras themselves have internal storage which can be set to store stuff. the one i have has an SD card in it which records clips from motion and it can be set to upload those to various places in directly. before i had frigate set up i set it to upload the clips to my server via ftp
really depends what your end goal is on how you would set it up
great, thank you so much for detailed answer! Now I know what I am standing on 🙂
cool, hopefully you can work out exactly what you need now 🙂
if its any help. I have a E1 Outdoor Pro and its been great
