I have 20 battery-powered window shades in the same room. Occasionally one or more will randomly be unavailable and the only way to bring them back is to use the button on the shades to activate them. Once you press it, the device is immediately back online. There appears to be no rhyme or reason why they drop off the network. Very rarely a Ping will work to bring it back but usually the ping does not get a response and I have to press the button again.
I have over 100 Z-wave devices nearby so range is not an issue. In fact every other device, including battery-powered ones, work flawlessly.
I also had these shades on a Vera system years ago and never had any problems. My biggest complaint compared to the Vera is that once the device is gone, ZwaveJS will not let me attempt to send it a command. It looses all of it's "values" (see attached image) and you can't attempt to communicate with it other than a ping.
Any ideas? Is there a setting I can change in ZwaveJS to allow me to still try to send a command even if the unit appears to be disconnected?
Thanks in advance!
