I'm looking to put Standard doorbell back on my house that is configured to work with a shelly device for notifications when pressed and still ring the mechanical chime. Right now, I have a Wyze v2 doorbell/camera but I'm slowly switching everything to a localized only system so stuff doesn't get to the cloud. My main goal is to try and reuse what I currently have so I don't have to buy all new cameras. (I did look into the Reolink and like the idea, but don't want to drop all that money for new cameras). I have Wyze v3 cameras that I was able to flash Thingino on and those are working good, but Thingino will not work on my doorbell. I was thinking of putting a standard button back on to the two wires and saw the Shelly Uni, but cannot find anything on how I would wire this up or if it would even work for what I want to do. Help please!!?? 🙂

Wondering if this will work

Must warn you, I'm not an electrician or pretend to be one. 😄

I'm no electrician either but I think the Uni should work for your usage - you'd just set put the uni across the doorbell, basically

I think our diagrams show the same thing but I've added colours to check I've interpreted yours correctly? (Obviously "gnd" isn't really ground here, being AC... just simpler to label it like DC on the low voltage side)

Supposedly there's a firmware that allows you to output RTSP from your Wyze v2 and not contact the cloud, might be worth looking into?
