#picture-entity camera feeds freezing

I'm using picture-entity cards with camera_view: live for my cameras. They're a combination of google nest indoor cameras, google nest outdoor cameras, and a google nest hub max - 5 camera feeds running simultaneously at all times. After enough time (some number of hours), one or more of the camera feeds freeze, and I reload the page to get them to start playing again.

I'm running home assistant on a raspberry pi (I think raspberry pi 4B, 8GB?) with an SD card.

  • Is there a way to debug what would be causing the feed to freeze?
  • Could the CPU on the raspberry pi itself be too limited to handle the camera feeds?
  • Could the freezing be related to running on an SD card?

Thank you for the tips

does this happen on all systems/browsers? just to rule out a client issue
I only ever have leave the dashboard open on my computer in chrome, so I can't say for sure.

Having a look at 'System monitor processor use', it's only sitting at 5% with all of the cameras on, so I guess it's not that.

Next time I notice it happen I'll check the logs.
