My zone is showing as apparently not being configurable in the UI because it was made in the configuration.yaml file but there's no mention of it in there. What do I do? My phone is always listing itself as away 24/7, location permissions is on, it has the geocoded address as my address, it should know I'm home.

not rly a companion app problem but delete or comment out the part of your yaml that says something like this

# - name: Home
# latitude: !secret lat
# longitude: !secret lon
# radius: 40
# icon: mdi:home```
or whatever yours looks like. if you have other yaml zones (which idk why you would), then keep the `zone` lineand then reboot ha
