#How to configure go2rtc?

I am attemping to use https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/go2rtc/

It is enabled and running, but I do not see how to create go2rtc streams. I have 3 Reolink cameras integrated, so I was expecting that already HA would use this integration to create the restreams automatically, but it is not doing that. Since HA is connecting to these cameras already, I want to try to prevent multiple connections to the camera, so my goal would be go2rtc connecting, and HA to use those streams.

restream? as in rtsp?

Yes, typically with go2rtc you would add your cameras and then you could restream over multpile protocols not just rtsp. Here is one on another system where I am using go2rtc and frigate without homeassistant. as you can see it publishes multiple streams of all types for a single connection to the camera - go2rtc acts as the intermediary.

all the integration does is provide a webrtc proxy

#

I use frigate+go2rtc to restream and just configure the integration with the external instance

Sure that is an option, but HA runs a full blown instance of go2rtc there has to be a way to configure it. I don't have nor want frigate on this installation

there is no configuration

#

you could see if there's anything you can do with the API

I just enabled the debug_webui, so yes, there are other streams available. The problem is that it is only showing 1 of my cameras. I would expect/hope all cameras to be listed

#

And there is a config and it explicitly says it is managed by home assistant, and it has somehow added one of my cameras with no issues, but just not the rest (all reolink, another camera identical to this one)

Yes, HA creates the streams. Then they are available via WebRTC. At least that's my understanding.

#

So is the issue mostly the missing other cameras?

The HA-created streams only seem to show up for me when they are being actively used in HA. After awhile they are removed.

#

Ah my go2rtc server crashed, lol

#

Have you opened all of the camera streams in HA? They are added dynamically via the rest API.

That's not an RTSP restream though.

The recent update, along with the recent firmware for my Reolink cameras completely destroyed my setup, including go2rtc. I found a way to get it back to the way I had it, snapshots (broken with latest firmware), low delay, etc

use reolink for sensors, use generic camera integration for the rtsp stream
