I'm currently running ZHA, but doing so with a ZBT-1. I've read that the ZBT-1 support for Z2M is janky at best. I still want to keep it to later add Thread support though.

For Zigbee though, that means I need a new antenna. What would you recommend?

For a USB connection, the Sonoff models look pretty nice, and they're generally a solid brand.

I could instead get an ethernet port dongle though, and connect it to a USB port using an adapter. That would then grant some future proofing for when I eventually get a nice home cluster and could have multiple mirror instances of HA connected to that antenna through a switch. Options being the Hamgeek and Lineops models. Those cost way more than a Sonoff dongle though — particularly the latter one.

I don't know. What would you recommend?

I chose the SLZB-06 because its features appealed to me. They have different models with different chips. I use it via PoE and am still happy with it. Still, Z2M support for the ZBT-1 should be okay nowadays.
