I am looking for a suggestion on outdoor motion sensors and would really prefer zigbee as the protocol.

Some Silicone might work. I saw a guy built a solar powered enclosure for some of the cheap ones and it worked well. Just having access to 3d print is nit on my list of things to purchase atm
