Looking for help figuring out which route is the best option for me. Have a very neurospicy household of 6 (3 kids, 3 adults) and can no longer put up with google home's glitches. We have GH speakers in every room, all lights in the house are automated, smart TV's, google doorbell and driveway camera, but also have ring cameras and just various other smart home electroincs. We use voice control for pretty much everything. I have automations set up for morning wake up routines like playing music from spotify, for night time routines, turning the internet off to specific devices ect.... When GH randomly doesn't trigger the automations, or only triggers partial automations it is frustrating to say the least.
I want to switch to HA, but I am unsure which device or option I should be going with? I am not super tech savy, but I am able to figure stuff out given time. My biggest thing is wanting it to feel almost seamless with the switch and it not take me days to recreate the automations, but I also want the ability to get more detailed as needed.
I was assuming starting with HA Green, but later is says to connect the ZBT-1 for voice control.
HA Yellow seems to have the ability to grow as needed, but I have zero idea what the Rasberry Pi stuff is....
#Trying to start my HA journey, which way would be best to start?

Raspberry pi is a pretty popular brand that makes single board computers and orher such things.
I recommend a Small PC: https://gist.github.com/Impact123/6ee130240bdc6a7fed2d5224616544a0
Yes, get the Home Assistant Green and set the foot in the door with Home Assistant. You'll have time to figure out the tech stuff behind it later as you learn. An home hub is something critical and having something that works out of the box is crucial
The easiest way to switch to home assistant is just to boot it up in a vm on an existing machine. You can set it up and see if it's suited for your needs, you can even run it like that if you want
In the long term though, I would definitely get a machine, but what kind of machine you get really depends on what you value.
Home assistant green etc, you're really just paying for everything to be pre-configured, which is fine if you want zero hassle
For best price to performance getting your own x86-64 machine and configuring it yourself (which is quite easy btw) is the way to go. There's lots of guides for everything so it's really as painless as diy can. Possibly be
