Anybody using an SLZB-06 as a Matter Over Thread controller?

There's been some discussion on this over in #1284966617670881350, which is a better venue for this question. To summarize: the Thread RCP protocol is very timing sensitive, so having the thread radio connected to HA over wifi is a very bad idea. Some people have also had reliability issues when using it over Ethernet. You're best off with either a thread radio connected over USB, or a standalone thread border router (which the SLZB-06 is not... yet).

Thank you two for the replies. I know it's says BETA on the Matter Over Thread option. I currently have one of these as my Zigbee controller and it works great. Was just wondering about getting another for Matter.

I haven't seen that before. Which Zigbee mode are you using? Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA? I'm using Zigbee2MQTT.

I figured it out

#

Red means offline and the dotted lines mean that the other devices are trying to talk to the smlight but they can't since it is offline

I removed it and re added it and all went back to normal
