I have kept the PE up to date with every update. I took control of it to add an additional option but I've noticed since the last 2 updates the pe has become very unreliable.

When saying a command half the time it's not recognizing what I say or it cuts off listening mid sentence. Basic commands it seems to say "sorry not aware of any device named bla bla"

This was not the case when I first got it. How the heck has this thing been getting worse? Is this somehow more reliable by not taking control? I have tried everything to get it to work better and I'm left thinking the only cause has to be recent updates

You said you added an additionla option, it's possible said option is taxing the resources on the device?

I've updated all of mine recently to the latest firmware and haven't noticed any degredation in performance, seem to be working great (4 devices here)

I used a method posted on here to get audio through an external speaker without having the speaker plugged in.

That's it. I'd certainly hope that wouldn't be taxing it as the box3 does it perfectly fine

hm, wouldn't think that would affect it hearing audio. Can try turning on debug and listening to the recordings to see if something weird is going on there
