Hi guys,
I've got an ESP32 laying around somewhere and I'm going to buy 230v blind motor so I can just plug it in and not worry about batteries. Especially because I'm in a wheelchair.
Unfortunatelly I can't seem to find a tutorial specifically for high voltage blinds. Can you find a tutorial or know what I should do to make this work?

Hi, the point in controlling something of voltage greater than 5V is to use a relay or similar. You can find a lot of tutorials. Be aware of the risks of working with such voltages 🙂

I'd be strongly inclined, when dealing with 230v, to stick in a shelley or something similar. A shelley1 is £15 (not sure on your domestic currency!), and significantly less likely to cause fire / invalidate home insurance / ... than home brewing it.

Alternatively, it could be interesting to source a blind motor with its own 433mhz (or whatever the low bandwith comms frequency is in your region) remote, and use a 433mhz transceiver to control it over RF.

I didn't buy anything yet but the downside of either Bluetooth or 433 blinds is that they usually run on batteries. As I'm in a wheelchair, I can't reach the battery to charge it. That's why I'm searching for something that works with mains.

I agree with the Shelly. No batteries and reliable

And totally integrated with HA

Most people who have use ESP's to do this have used a Stepper Motor.

Personally I would look at something like the Zemismart Roller Blind Motors which are Wifi / Zigbee / Matter.

It's been said that if I want multiple blinds connected to the same button that I need to use a relaisbox anyway. Could I do something with that?

either ESP32 or maybe a shelly pro rollerblind dinrail module
