Hey all I have a microwave with a hood built in over the stove. I can't see the hood in the Home ASsistant integration but its within the Smart Things App. Please see screen shots attached. I would like to remotely control the hood.

also do you know if there is a way to send time - the way to synchronize time on the smarter things apps is not smarter 🙂

I don't know, if this specifically is a known issue. But there have been some reworks to get it back running.

From the beta release notes:

Joostlek completely rewrote the SmartThings integration! In december, SmartThings shut down the authentication method that we used to use to connect with their platform. During the last 2 months we collaborated with SmartThings to get the integration up and running again. No more need to request a personal access token! You can just sign in using your Samsung account (like how you are used to with for example OneDrive). Another improvement we have done is that to get push updates, you don’t need to expose your instance to the internet anymore!

gotcha well thats positive - hopefully better. For me seems odd I don't have this appliance (from its inception)

If you have a feature request for the frontend you can open one here, for Home Assistant itself please post on the forum. All other feature requests should be made to the developer of that custom card/component.

I just tried to setup a routine to turn off the hood at midnight (its my father in laws kitchen) and he leaves it on all night

I think there is a way that the hood and the range can interconnect so when its on it turns on the fan

yeah I've been asking for a LONG LONG time about it

the thing is that the onyl way to set the time and date (other than on the oven and microwave) is to use the app to set the date time - manually

#

so if we lose power or I want to sync the time (because it does drift) I have to login and do each appliance. Its quite archaic. I was curious if you knew anything about it from the debug info
