I want to use a 3 key wired keypad, where each key triggers a unique automation. How do I do this? I don't have a device to currently plug it into, could I achieve this with an Arduino, and if so how.

Get one, they are cheap look at esp32 c3 super mini on AliExpress or something local
Then you can use esphome and make it a custom switch
