#this automation cannot be edited from the UI

I have about 50 or so automations and scripts created from an integration (keymaster). When I go into the automation, there is a message that "This automation cannot be edited fromt he UI, because it is not stored in the automation files, or doesn't have an ID". There is a migrate button.

Upon clicking the migrate button, it opens up a new automation and I can save it. This is time consuming. The crazy part is that after doing a few of these, I am noticing that no matter what I try to do, the original automation can not be deleted. Is there something that I am missing?

Where does the automation exist on your disk?

#

HA will only modify/delete automations inside automations.yaml

understood, I have an automations.yaml that when the migrate button is pressed it does create one there. The issue is that the automation that I migrated still is in the automations panel. I can't get rid of it. Tried rebooting and reloading the yaml and still there.

That's because it exists somewhere in your config folder

#

You will have to manually excise it

#

Integrations creating automations sounds like a weird/non-standard thing

#

I guess you're on your own for cleaning up if it leaves a mess

while I don't disagree, I think that they should maybe have created a file that the user could copy them over.

I figured that I would have disable and make them not visible if it bothers me that much.
