Combining values from different entities might be a bridge too far. That will bring even more config options. However, you could do what you with a template sensor (in YAML)
Well, I would challenge that (example for current non-beta Tile Card)...
nr 1 could be replaced with a selection thingy to select what to show (or None).
nr 2 and 3 could be replaced with a selection thingy to select what to show (or None) as Secondary Info.
With the space that comes available, we could put in a selection thingy to select what to show (or None) as Primary Info.
I personally would see that as a more uniform and simplified configuration method, opposed the current combination of toggles and pulldowns.
I'll see if I can make a mock-up of how I think it could look like...
This is what I think it could look like.
Option 1 could allow you to select an icon, any entity picture, or "None".
Option 2 and 3 could allow you to select any name/state/attribute of any entity, or "None".
In my optinion, this looks a lot simpler/cleaner than it currently does.
I understand that I could do this with a template, but this would make it easy even for beginner/intermediate users.
