#m³ as the default gas measurement

Maybe a strange question, but I recently moved and am building a new Home Assistant setup. However, I’m encountering the issue that gas is displayed in FT³ instead of m³. I know I can solve this by creating separate sensors, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to set everything to m³ by default instead of having to create additional sensors for this.

You should be able to set the unit in the frontend if you click on the sensor

#

But it means your sensor is falsely reporting FT3? Or is that correct?

Now the sensor shows ft3, but I would like to see this in m3. I can indeed adjust it at the sensor, but it remains ft3 in the dashboard. I also removed the sensor from the dashboard and added it back, but this changed nothing

if you change the unit in the frontend it should also change it in the energy dashboard

Okay, then I'll adjust it again and maybe I'll have to wait a little longer

#

thanks for your answer. I'll let you know if it worked

#

This is what I meant. in the dashboard ft3, but on the sonsor m3

ok you may have misconfigured it at some point and that's why the unit is off

#

go to dev tools -> statistics and there should be a repair

Should I have a notification here or something? The strange thing is that when I open it it looks fine.

yeah, the energy dashboard uses the statistics and not the sensor data itself. Statistics are like hourly averages

Okay, but do I also have to adjust the Statistical unit somewhere since it still says ft3 or should I just wait and see?

#

this looks good as well

Normally when there is a unit mismatch you get a repair

#

@daring ginkgo any idea?

sacred plaza

Waiting has yielded nothing. still stands at ft3

Energy dashboard units are set solely based on your system unit setting.

US = ft3, Metric = m3
