So these devices state that they are Matter compatable and they dont lie.. BUT when I take one of these devices and Join it via the Matter (Beta) integration I only seem to get on and off functionality. When I use the Kara TP-link software adn then get it online and it has an IP address HA seems to find it right away and it has TONS of entities like energy monitoring, volts amps.. Is it just a me thing why I can't see these entities via Matter? or is it the TP-Link has not exposed these features through their Matter firmware for the device? also if i add the device via tp-link it asks for my user name and passord to add it for the Tp-link software.. this makes me thing that these devices require they cloud to make this work. Any help to understand how these devices work woul dbe great!

stuff like the "auto off" is probably implemented via the cloud, and it would probably be better to use home assistant integrations instead to do the same thing locally with more flexibility.

#

the voltage/power reporting is something that tp-link could report over matter, but have not implmented.

#

it's all up to tp-link to update the firmware on the device to enable energy reporting as specified in matter 1.3

okay so its a tp-link issue with firmware..
