Last night our internet was out for 7 hours. Both of my Voice PE's became "unavailable" in Home Assistant even though everything else including multiple ESPHome sensors worked locally just fine. Neither VPE showed up on the Voice Assistants page as they usually do but they were listed in the ESPHome integration. Both units sat there slowly flashing the white LED ring every few seconds. When internet service was restored by my ISP, the units came back to normal working state.
What gives? These are supposed to be local devices. Why did they go unavailable when external internet access disappeared? Any hints?

They check for updates every hour - and now there's bug in update polling http component, that leads to trouble. As far as I know, there was PR to fix it, but it didn't make it to core code base. IDK current state of that.

That should have been fixed in firmware version 25.1.0.
