#Health Connect sensors mostly working, Active Calories Burned remains 'unknown'
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Same issue here. Was just about to start a thread on it. I have a Galaxy Watch 7 where the activity for "active calories burned" comes from.
Not sure how it's supposed to work. It's ticked here as implemented at least: https://github.com/home-assistant/android/issues/4804
This request will be used to track the remaining sensors we can add according to: https://developer.android.com/health-and-fitness/guides/health-connect/plan/data-types as I am sure we will get mor...
If you check in the Health Connect settings > Data and access, do you have any records for the type "Active calories burned"? It is quite strict from what I remember, total calories for example is not the same.
Yes, I have all of the options selected to sync
and all but that one are showing data
I've enabled debug logging for the mobile app integration, will see if i can capture anything
Apologies for not doing so before, I didn't do my due diligence
Received webhook payload from Name Pixel for type update_sensor_states: [{'unique_id': 'health_connect_active_calories_burned', 'state': None, 'type': 'sensor', 'icon': 'mdi:fire', 'attributes': {}} Yeah, its just not sending any state data
With Health Connect settings I meant the system settings
Not in the Home Assistant app
If the system doesn't have records for it, then the app doesn't have anything to send
Yes, the Health Connect app has individual toggles for each app that is using it. For Home Assistant, all of the toggles are on
open health connect on your phone, go to data, find active calories and check for records within health connect
most apps we found dont add data there
you can download teh health connect toolbox and add records if you like
but the data is dependent on other apps adding data there for HA to read
ah let me check
health connect > data ad access > find active calories there
most likely you dont see it at all
https://developer.android.com/health-and-fitness/guides/health-connect/test/health-connect-toolbox the toolbox here can add records for you, we used it for testing
you are absolutely right, its not there at all
thanks for that, its just not a tracked metric in the first place 😂
yea that one is a guessing game
Unfortunate, because Total Calories Burned is almost useless due to how much garbage Fit and other apps throw in there
thats a calculation actualy
your body has a normal burn rate thats used there
in addition to other apps adding data
