Hi all!
Small description and my goal:
I've just received Aqara M3 Hub and Aqara Dial V1 for testing. I'm trying to shre my Home Assistant etities via Matter to Aqara ecosystem by Matter Server and Matter Hub and display my etities in Aqara Dial V1.
My goal is to add my Zigbee Ikea switch(connected via Zigbee and Z2MQTT to Home Assistant) into Aqara Dial V1 as one of the card to control entity.
Stack:
- Aqara M3 Hub
- Aqara Dial V1 EU
- Home Assistant 2025.02
- installed official Matter Server
- installed Addon "Matter Hub" (https://github.com/t0bst4r/home-assistant-matter-hub/)
Problem:
I have an issue with adding my "Matter Device" created in Matter Hub to Aqara. There is a problem with adding new Matter device into Aqara by the Aqara Home app. I'm newbie with Matter 😉
Things I've already done:
- Configured Aqara M3 Hub in Aqara Home app
- Configured Aqara Dial V1 into Aqara Home app
- Connected my Aqara M3 hub into Matter Server in Home Assistant (screenshot: image.png)
- Installed and configured Addon "Matter Hub".
- Created in Matter Hub a new bridge "Home Assistant Devices Test" (screenshot: matter-hub.png)
Things I'm trying to do:
- Now I'm trying to add new Matter device in Aqara App by "Accessories -> Hub M3 -> Child devices -> Add child devices -> Matter Devices"
- Then I scan QR code from Matter Hub "Home Assistant Devices Test".
- App shows "Connecting..."
- After a while there is a screen (aqara-matter-screen.jpeg)
- Clicking on "Star accessing the network"
- With the question is the device been added to a third-party Matter ecosystem I've tried both options.
6.1 When I click new device, Aqara app trying co connect as in point no. 3 and then there is an error "Failed to bind - The LAN cannot connect to the Primary Matter Controller".
6.2 When I click "Yes, it already in use", then iis question "Which third-party Matter ecosystem has your device been added to i choose "Home Assistant", but I don't know what next...
