Hi all, I’ve not done much with the energy monitoring stuff but am trying to start now. I have an Ikea smart plug with energy monitoring, but it doesn’t seem to update the power in the UI. I can view the history and it shows varying values (so it’s definitely getting the readings). The image attached shows this as it’s recording 123W from an hour ago, but the graph shows it’s changed from that

The same is true for the energy reading

This then means in the energy dashboard, it doesn’t show the usage in the chart

It only updates once per hour

Oh right okay, does this apply to the value in any cards I may have? Seems weird for it to stay at a value it was an hour ago when it knows the value it is now

Energy panel only uses long term statistics, which are gathered once per hour.

Other cards reference the current state of an entity, and as such will update instantly
