Still relatively new to Home Assistant - most of my kit so far has been wi-fi based, and I honestly don't like the way things handle on wi-fi.

I'm looking into a z-wave setup due to the thermostat. I also have Zigbee bulbs (Philips Hue) that I intend to set up - so, for the sake of this request, I can accept either zigbee or z-wave recommendations.

Zigbee + Z-Wave
Currently have an SLZB-06 PoE in my cart - it comes highly recommended.
Looking for a Z-Wave setup recommendation. Preferably all-in-one. PoE not mandatory.

Lights
Leaning towards Hue lights; the Zigbee + Bluetooth lights. Idea is to have Home Assistant be the primary controller, but in case something stops working, I can still use the Hue app to toggle lights. Any alternate recommendations?

Thermostat
Currely have an Ecobee, read a lot of good about them, but found out they killed API access. Local control is the focus, so I'm switching to a Honeywell T6 Pro w/ Z-Wave. Alternate recommendations welcome.

Switches
I'm looking for some standalone switches that I can mount to a wall, either with adhesive or two small screws. I am not looking for something that replaces an existing switch in a gang box (rental property). I picked up a Philips Hue dimmer remote (Zigbee) but how well does that work with Home Assistant, assuming I get a Zigbee coordinator? Any alternate suggestions?
Bonus points for more than 2 buttons or maybe a little smart-screen type thing.

Motion
It would be nice to have a couple smartly placed motion sensors to kick some lights on. No clue what to look for here. Any recommendations?

Plugs
I have a handful of TP-Link Kasa energy monitoring plugs, but Home Assistant likes to let me know they fail authentication regularly, then somehow they just start working again. Was considering switching to Shelly. Any other recommendations? Energy monitoring is a must.

Appreciate anyone who reads and all recommendations! Thank you :cbh:
