#FireHD 10's depleting battery while plugged into to power

I have no idea why, but I have 2 FireHD 10 tablets wall-mounted with power ran via USB to an Anker power bank and they wont stay fully charged. They seem to just constantly deplete the battery, no matter what settings I use on the tablet and in Fully Kiosk Browser. Anyone have these tablets and know what I can do to get them to stay fully charged when connected to power?

have you tried another cable?
does it go all the way dead or does it hit a level and stay there?

you probably dont want them to be fully charged forever anyway
i have a lenevo tabllet mounted and i have a battery protection setting on so it stays between 40 and 60% maybe you have put something like this on without realising?

I have tried different cables and different power plugs, same effect happens. I don't mind if they aren't 100% but they shouldn't be down to 3% when connected to power either. I have checked all the battery settings I could find, there's no option to choose what level to charge the battery to unfortunately. Unless I am absolutely blind.

I disabled motion detection and the battery percentage is going up already

which kinda sucks, motion detection is the best way to get the display to turn on

Too late to suggest this, but for the next tablet maybe consider a smart plug. Have it power off at maybe 80% and then power back on when the tablet goes down to 20%.

I don't know if that really matters. But that's a precaution I've taken just in case with my FireHD 8. It has shown no sign of degradation so far. But I've only only owned it for 4 months.

That's a good idea. I have a smart plug laying around I think that I am not using, I can toss it on there and run an automation for it.

But right now, I am using my protect cameras person detections to trigger the displays, seems to be working well enough now
