Hello! Would love to hear recommendations for a large smart blind (~20 windows) install . Z-wave, Zigbee, Matter, other? Any manufacturer recommendations with strong HA support?

For context, I just installed 4 IKEA Tredansen blinds in my bedroom. My wife loves them and naturally wants more! They are solid blinds, but have limited sizes and rely on battery. I currently have about 25 z-wave (Zoos stick) devices and 25 Zigbee (Skyconnect stick, ZHA) devices. Would want to ensure networks are not overloaded. Probably wouldn’t buy all blinds at once, so something we could build out over time.

I'd suggest the Zemismart Roller motors as you can then use whatever blinds you want.

I have zwave cellular blinds from Bali (purchased via Costco) that have been solid.

blinds.com also has Bali zwave cellular. I got a pair and also recommend it.
Up and down once a day and they're reporting ~65% after 3 months.

What is the cellular part of zwave?

Cellular refers to the type of fabric

Is there any particular website you found that is better than others for Bali zwave? Price, lead time, customization, etc.

I’ve only looked at Costco so far

Well blinds.com is where I got mine. I didn't price out costco as an option, but I was happy with that site.

They're forever running "40-50% off" sales, if that's really a sale I couldn't say 😅

I paid ~$850 for a pair of 34x82s.

Guess I should shop around to be sure

I can echo karwosts experience with battery.

Oh and that's with the rechargeable battery. You could also use non-rechargeable batteries I guess too.

But don’t do that

They don’t last as long and you need something like 8 AAs per tube
