About 10 years ago when I couldn't get HA set up I finally threw in the towel and used ST. Returning to HA every 5 to 6 months I finally got it working about 8 years ago or so. I moved everything but my ZWave devices because I didn't want to reset them. I guess its finally time.
I know someone is working on a fix but who knows when that will be and I have just been lazy.
Time to figure what dongle to get and remember how to reset all the switches and locks.

I'm undergoing the same process and it's a mess. Having to touch every device is a pain. I have some in the garage that are plugged into an outlet on the CEILING. I will have to pull the car out and get out the ladder. The front door lock was especially troublesome because I needed a programming code that is on the back of the original manual. I have all my manuals together in a box but I had to sit on the floor and dig through it for some time to find it. Good luck to you!
One more thing I remembered. My smartthings hub and my HA install are on opposite ends of the house. I had to add the devices closest to the HA box first to build up the mesh network to be able to reach the ones further away.
I think I am going to buy my new ZWave Dongle this weekend. I was hoping procrastination would buy me time till this got fixed
They are working actively on one and making good progress.
