#Stop using Opower - Retain Data

I have been using the Opower integration to pull in data from ConEd. I recently installed solar panels and have an Enphase system and app. I've applied the Enphase integration and, recently, added consumption monitoring to my Enphase system. That said, the consumption data from ConEd has always been slow to arrive and doe not allow for cost data. Since I have consumption from Enphase now--including export power data--I would like to stop using Opower entirely, if not only for electricity.

However, I would like to keep the data already collected from ConEd. How can I do this, because removing the entity for ConEd consumption from the energy config page removes all the data.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can delete the integration/entity and all the old statistics will remain until you manually delete them.

#

You'll have to leave the removed entity_id in the energy configuration if you want it to still show up for historical dates.

the entity will be gone yes, but statistics data is never purged unless manually done by user

Thanks. Question, part two, the Opower also pulls in gas usuage. Could I keep it pulling the gas data (thus the entity for gas consumption) but not electricity--but still reatin the electricity past usage?

Does that make sense?

Solved, I think, I can just keep Opower and disable all the elec entities and keep the gas entities active. THen I can go in to Dev Tools . Statistics and set any values from Opower cned elec which overlap with envoy/enphase data to 0. It's only about a 24hr period so will be easy to adjust.

Or not, since after a reboot all the data came back....

I'm not sure if there is any way to stop opower from writing new records. Disabling the entity itself may have nothing to do with the way it's loading external statistics.

Yup. Thanks for the assist I'll just have to ignore the weird day or so of overalling values.

Disabling the sensors, interestingly, did not prevent the electrical data from updating. I think, somehow, I need to duplicate the elec consumption entity with the existing date. It then becomes a static data entity and then delete the "live" one. With this I could keep Opower running and the gas live data.

Ok, getting spikes on enphase.

suddenly my panels produced insane amounts of power. got 2 "spikes" on teh energy distribution panel. Consumption is 165kwh and production is 129kwh. Actual production was around 20kwh.

this is an IQ combiner

Are these spikes in the enphase todays energy entities or in the lifetime entities?

todays.

#

well, yesterday.

#

so far today there's no spikes.

#

and I went in and averaged the ones I found out.

enphase is a 5th gen combiner (new) with 8.x firmware
